BRIGHTON BREEZY RANDONNEE
Sunday 7th Sept 2014 @ 8:30 am
The Breeey is now SOLD OUT. There is a waiting list. Sorry there is no entry on the day
We had such fun in 2013, the Brighton Breezy Randonnee is back for 2014. A little bigger, a little breezier still with tea, cake and this year with an on-line entry system to make joining us much easier. There is no entry on the day so enter early to avoid disappointment.
The Breezy has a choice of 2 routes of 100km or 70 km. Our circular routes start from the Sports Centre at Brighton University close to the Amex Stadium, home of Brighton and Hove Albion FC. We follow the A27 cycle path into the historic town of Lewes where we leave the busy roads and travel through beautiful country lanes through Barcombe Mills towards Ringmer after 20miles we reach the tea stop in the pretty village of Waldron. This is the halfway point for the shorter ride. After tea, cake and refreshments the ride continues along quiet lanes and returns back towards the centre of Lewes via Glyndebourne and Glynde.
For the more energetic who fancy the longer route with a few hills your ride continues from Waldron tea stop up through old Heathfield and up through the Weald towards Mayfield and then Rotherfield returning back to Waldron for your second tea stop before re- joining the shorter route back to Falmer.
Please down load GPX/TCX into your navigating unit. Note the breezy uses some cycle paths
